Abu Dhabi to host US-brokered Russia-Ukraine peace talks on November 10-11

The United States is set to mediate a fresh round of trilateral negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11, according to an announcement by US special envoy Steve Witkoff.
The talks in the capital of the United Arab Emirates are part of an expanded diplomatic push by Washington to bring an end to the ongoing conflict. Working-level representatives from both sides will convene to address key disputes standing in the way of a possible peace pact.
Writing on the social media platform X, Witkoff noted that the discussions will concentrate on practical steps toward conflict reduction, post-war security frameworks, humanitarian challenges, and procedural steps required to reach a comprehensive settlement.
The gathering in the Gulf will occur alongside separate high-level diplomatic sessions in Europe. Witkoff stated that American negotiators plan to confer with officials from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the European Union, and NATO in Brussels.
Those European consultations will focus on coordinating allied stances, establishing future security commitments for Ukraine, shaping the broader post-conflict security landscape in Europe, and exploring economic avenues to finance Ukraine's rebuilding efforts.
Together, the parallel discussions are intended to align international positions as participants try to navigate the contentious political and security conditions needed to halt the war.
