The Saudi-led military alliance in Yemen has initiated a fresh operation aimed at cutting off logistical and military assets utilized by Houthi forces, according to an announcement made on Sunday.

Coalition officials stated that the morning strikes were planned to curtail the rebel group's ability to wage war, following recurring strikes against non-military targets and growing dangers posed to maritime transit corridors across the southern stretches of the Red Sea.

Major General Turki Al Maliki, speaking on behalf of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, said the Joint Forces Command carried out the operation to dismantle assets that enable the Houthis to stage repeated and untargeted strikes. He stated that the faction has persistently gathered resources to reinforce its frontline efforts and enhance its offensive stockpiles, specifically highlighting their deployment of uncrewed aerial vehicles and ballistic projectiles.

According to Al Maliki, the continuous assaults executed by the group create direct hazards for innocent residents and key infrastructure located both inside Yemen and across the border in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that the Houthis' actions additionally compromise vital international shipping lanes navigating the Red Sea corridor.

The spokesman reaffirmed the alliance's determination to maintain operational steps intended to suppress hostile activity and restrict access to supplies that fuel the conflict. Coalition leadership urged the militia to cease offensive measures directed at non-combatants and public facilities immediately, cautioning that the group will be held fully accountable for the fallout should its campaigns persist.
