Falcons soar over the Packers in dominant 35-14 win in Green Bay

The result marked the return of quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who was back under center after recovering from a significant knee injury that sidelined him last season. Atlanta had opened this season 0-2 without him, and the offense showed an immediate spark with Penix back in the lineup.

Running back Bijan Robinson was a major factor in the win, piling up 194 rushing yards and finding the end zone twice. Wide receiver Drake London matched that production through the air, hauling in nine receptions for a career-best 194 yards.

According to Spectrum News 1, the performances from Robinson and London made them the first pair of teammates in nearly 50 years to each surpass 190 yards from scrimmage in the same road game.

Atlanta's offense took control in the middle portion of the contest, reeling off 27 unanswered points during one stretch that silenced the home crowd. Packers fans at Lambeau Field could be heard booing their own team as the deficit grew.

The victory improves the Falcons to 1-2 on the season, snapping their early-season losing skid in dramatic fashion on a national broadcast.

Thursday's game was the first of three consecutive primetime matchups scheduled for Atlanta. The Falcons will look to build on the momentum when they travel to face the New Orleans Saints on Monday, Oct. 5, according to Spectrum News 1.
